Recycling Program
Here at Bangerang Bake Shop we recognize the importance of preserving our environment and contributing to the global community. With that in mind, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to recycle your used glass Bangerang jars and receive credit for FREE cupcakes!
For every 10 jars you return to Bangerang Bake Shop you will receive 1 free cupcake (shipping costs for the 1 cupcake is also FREE!) with your next order! We will log your information into our recycling program file, and when you have sent back 10 empty jars and then place a new Bangerang Bake Shop order (please put the phrase “G.G.B” in the notes section at check out along with your desired free cupcake flavor choice) you will receive your free cupcake*!
How the program works:
After enjoying your Bangerang Cupcakes-In-A-Jar simply wash the jar, lid and ring, reassemble and securely repackage using the packing materials originally sent with your order (or supplement any open space between your jars with your own packing such as newspaper) in the box your cupcakes were sent to you in. The jars must be packed to ensure that they will not shift or break.
Include your personal information (so we know who is sending us back the jars and your G.G.B. file can be updated with the correct number of jars you returned) with your box of empty jars. Please provide you’re: NAME, ADDRESS, E MAIL and PHONE NUMBER.
Securely tape the box and address to:
Bangerang Bake Shop
Attn: G.G.B. Program
734 E Dundee Road
Suite 114
Palatine, IL 60067
Take your package to your desired shipping location*(we recommend USPS for the least expensive option).

When you are ready to ship your used jars, please consider using these shipping tips to keep your costs down.

(as to avoid crushing or breakage of box).
* Service centers, such as The UPS Store will cost extra
(check out your options).
* Small packages (less than 5 pounds) will cost less shipping via the US mail. UPS has changed their "home pick up service" prices (call, compare and save costs).

*FedEx-1-800-463-3339 or http://www.fedex.com/

*Shipping costs of the empty jars being sent back to Bangerang Bake Shop are solely the customer’s responsibility. As much as we would like to cover these costs, we simply do not have the option to do this. Hopefully as Bangerang Bake Shop grows and becomes a larger business we will be able to cover these costs in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
*Free cupcake MUST accompany a new Bangerang Bake Shop order (the free cupcake can not be shipped on it’s own, it must be added to an existing order). Free cupcake can only be shipped to existing orders address (for example: you can not place an order and have it sent to one address and ask to have the free cupcakes sent to a separate address). The cost for shipping the free cupcake is FREE, but shipping for accompanying cupcakes is the regular shipping price.
*PLEASE NOTE: packages NOT containing complete customer information will not be credited to your G.G.B account and cannot be credited to your free cupcake tally. If you do not put the phrase “G.G.B.” in the notes section with your flavor choice of your free cupcake, you will not receive your free cupcake and you will have to wait until you place another order to claim your free cupcake. No exceptions please.

WHY GLASS and NOT PLASTIC?????
Glass is made from sand, an abundant resource. It is melted down and formed into bottles. It is safe to drink and eat from. At the end of it's useful life, it can be recycled, melted down, and reformed into a new product. Because glass is made from naturally-occurring materials like sand, it has a low rate of chemical interaction with the contents of the container, which makes it a safe material to be reused. Recycled glass can be used in numerous areas, such as creating sports turf, manufacturing kitchen tiles and providing sand to depleted beaches. For every ton of crushed glass (cullet) used in the manufacturing process, 1.2 tons of raw materials are saved. Recycling one ton of glass saves about nine gallons of fuel oil. Recycling one glass bottle saves enough energy to light a 100-watt bulb for four hours. Glass produced from recycled materials reduces related air pollution by 20 percent and water pollution by 50 percent. Manufacturing glass from recycled materials also saves 68 percent energy and half the water normally required in the manufacturing process.
Plastic is made from nonrenewable crude oil, which produces toxic waste in its mining and manufacture. It leaches into foods and beverages. Some plastics are recycled, but plastics that end up in landfills or ecosystems don't biodegrade for hundreds of years. Plastic bottles take 700 years before they begin to decompose in a landfill.
